The King County Dependency CASA Program recruits, trains and supports community volunteers who advocate for the best interest of children involved in legal proceedings in King County Juvenile Court due to abuse or neglect.
I recently met with one of my CASA Children to tell her I didn't think she needed me anymore. She disagreed. Thinking she was teasing, I asked 'Now why do you need me?"
She leaned over and whispered to me 'Because your my Secret Agent. I have always known you are my secret agent.'
That's the thing about being a CASA. You get paid a lot, just not in money. You get to be a secret agent who makes sure that little people get to a safe place.”
